His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, is the spirtual leader of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, which maintains offices at 312 Garfield Street, Johnstown, Pennsylvania,  15906.

His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory was consecrated as Bishop and enthroned as the Ruling Hierarch of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the USA  on November 27, 2012. He was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan on August 29, 2018.

His Eminence celebrates his Name's Day  (St. Gregory Palamas) on November 14/27.

Under His Eminence's care is our Diocesan Christ the Saviour Seminary, also in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, which trains future priests and deacons of our Diocese.  In addition, the Diocese maintains Camp Nazareth Youth and Retreat Center in Mercer, Pennsylvania.

Metropolitan Gregory also serves as Episcopal Liaison to the Orthodox Christian Fellowship and Chairman of Committee for Agencies and Endorsed Organizations of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA.

Very Rev. Protopresbyter David Cochran was ordained a Deacon in August of 1992 at the Annunciation Monastery at Tuxedo Park and as priest in October of 1992 at St. John the Baptist Church on Silver Lane in Stratford, CT, by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A. He was elevated to the rank of Protopresbyter in October of 2010.

Fr. David's first parish assignment was to St. Barbara Orthodox Church, Melbourne FL, as a Harvest 2000 Priest. He was transferred to St. John the Baptist Church, Hawk Run, PA. in July of 1994. During his time in the Johnstown Deanery, Fr. David taught Liturgical Music and Plain Chant at Christ the Savior Seminary, served the Dean of the Johnstown Deanery and as Spiritual Advisor of the Nation Sr. ACRY.

Fr. David was assigned as Pastor at St. John's, Bridgeport in May of 2004. In addition to his parish duties,  Fr. David served as Director of the Diocesan Altar Boy Retreat from 2005 until 2022.

Fr. David and Pani Andrea were united in Holy Matrimony on October 13, 1991. They are the parents of two children, Jacob and Sara
